Q: How much is it?
A: Advanced Driving Lessons £20:00 (one - hour duration) in clients own car because clients will be taking this test in their own car.
Q: What are the examiners like? - Where do they come from?
A: DIAmond Advanced Examiners are specially trained professional examiners. They hold the coveted Diploma in Driving Instruction, have passed the DSA Cardington Special Test or DIAmond Special Test, and completed the DIAmond Advanced Examiners course which is conducted by the DIA.
The DIAmond Advanced Motorists Test could be seen as a mock Cardington test / DIAmond Special Test for those ADI's who wish to further improve their driving skills and / or those ADIs who are contemplating doing driver training for Part 2 at a later stage. Things to consider before spending any money;
- I am a good driver "or am I";
- I know everything about driving and can't learn anything "is this true";
- Am I a high mileage driver and very vulnerable on the roads;
- Have I ever been involved in any accidents and / or near misses;
- Would this type of training help build my confidence, observations, and driving skills so that I will be a much better and safer driver;
- Would passing this test show my employer, friends and relatives, what I have been telling them all along, "I am a good driver, and I have proved it";

About the test
The DIAmond Advanced Motorist Test allows a maximum of 6 minor faults. The test last for about one-hour and includes a wide variety of road and traffic conditions. The following exercises are included:
- Turning in the road using forward and reverse gears.
- A reverse into a side road on the left.
- A reverse into a side road on the right.
- A reverse park.
The DIAmond Advanced Motorist Test is the only advanced test in the UK which uses the Government Driving Standards Agency's test marking system. The test is administered by the Driving Instructors Association (DIA) and endorsed by the Driving Standards Agency (DSA).
This test is similar to the ADI part 2 Driving Ability test, and is recommended by Oakwell School of Motoring to any candidate who is wishing to test their expertise behind the wheel and / or a trainee driving instructor who is training for the part 2 test or who has recently taken it. | |
