ADI Training - ADI Part 3 exam Peter J Cook is our principal trainer at Oakwell and he is a specilised ADI Part 3 trainer. Oakwell are on the DSA Official Register of Driving Instructor Training (ORDIT) and abides by the DSA code of practice. Oakwell have a DSA ORDIT Registered ADI Grade 6 trainer.

: Yes, but that could be down to poor training.

: Yes, you are allowed providing you do the stipulated 40 hours, and it has been approved by the DSA.

DSA ADI Part 3 Exam (Instructional Ability)

The ADI Part 3 Examination is a Test of Instructional Ability

The test is about one - hour duration and is divided into two "phases".

PHASE 1
The examiner will role play a learner with either no, or very little, experience. This part of the test is purely to assess your teaching skills and how well you can adapt your teaching methods to the ability of the pupil being portrayed.

DSA

PHASE 2

The examiner will role play a pupil with more experience and who is near to test standard or who has just failed a test / or a qualified driver undertaking some driver development. This part of the exam is to test your ability to assess and correct any problems the pupil may have and to give positive advice on how to improve.

Please note! - You are allowed only three attempts at this test. You must ensure that you receive high quality training before you take it.
